- Right click on 'Application Pools' ('Toepassingsgroepen') and choose ('Groep van toepassingen toevoegen').
- Enter the name of the application pool. Usually this is the same as the application name. Choose the latest .NET framework and Integrated Pipeline modus, unless there are good reasons not to.
- Right click on 'Default Web Site' and pick 'Toepassing toevoegen'.

Errors

HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found, The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler

First try: aspnet_regiis.exe -i
(You can execute this in the VS developer command prompt)

If that doesn't work:
In the folder: %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.x
Execute: ServiceModelReg.exe -ia
On a 64-bit machine, you have to use the folder %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.x

Now check if the used .NET framework in the used Application Pool is also v4. If not, change it.
